What is Participatory Budget?

Participatory Budgeting is a democratic process that enables community members to identify key issues within their community and take the lead in addressing these priorities using allocated public funds. This approach empowers residents to engage in decision-making and have the final say on how funding is spent to benefit their community.

Over the next few months, it will be up to the communities of keys PB areas for Torfaen (Blaenavon, Thornhill & Upper Cwmbran, Trevethin & Penygarn and St. Cadocs) who will get to decide how funding will be spent!
