To all our members, community groups, volunteers, and partners – thank you for your continued engagement and dedication throughout the year. Your participation has been invaluable in making our communities stronger. We look forward to an even more impactful 2025!

TVA will be closed for the holidays from Friday, 20th December and will reopen on Monday, 6th January 2025. The team will be recharged and ready to guide, support, and assist you with your enquiries.

GROWING THE VOLUNTARY & COMMUNITY SECTOR IN TORFAEN SO THAT TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITIES

Torfaen Voluntary Alliance (TVA) is the County Voluntary Council for Torfaen. We are a Membership Organisation open to all voluntary and community organisations and social enterprises in Torfaen and the surrounding area. Membership is free.

We are an independent organisation and registered charity,but we work closely with other CVCs and Welsh Government through the national Third Sector Support Wales network to advocate for the sector.We also work closely with our statutorypartners in Gwent to deliver the “Fairer Gwent” objectives.

TVA are governed by a highly skilled, dedicated, professional Board who ensure that the executive team are effectively managed, scrutinised, and governed to the highest standard with robust policies and procedures in place.

Overall, we aim to supportthe community and voluntary sectorto grow whilst helping our member organisations to achieve their unique objectives. We do this by empowering, enabling, and brokering relationships between our members, volunteers, companies, and government.

Our diverse group of professionals bring a wealth of experience, skills, and knowledge, all aimed at supporting our local community and voluntary organisations, fostering community engagement, and promoting volunteering.

Each member of our team plays a vital role in delivering our core services, including funding support, governance advice, community engagement and volunteering. Together, we work collaboratively to empower local groups, enhance their capabilities, and ensure their voices are heard. Our commitment to creating positive change in the community is at the heart of everything we do.

We believe that by working together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of individuals and communities across Torfaen. Whether through our programs, initiatives, direct support, or working alongside our partners – our team is here to help you thrive!

What Our Members Say About Us

TVA is helping our Torfaen Access Forum become independent. The forum is a networking group for disabled people. The group meets to discuss issues and find ways to help each other. TVA is advising on everything from funding to governance to engaging with members.

Very responsive and supportive and proactive

The info comes free and every time I am in touch I invariably come away feeling nourished and connected. Given that none of us can get out and about right now, this sense of connection is priceless.

TVA has been a great support to Torfaen Young People's Forum. A member of TVA staff often attends meetings to hear views of young people and to ensure activities are joined up where possible.

Very grateful for the support and advice from the team. Their advice was invaluable and has already helped us to move forward on multiple fronts. Looking forward to future engagement to our mutual benefit. Thanks so much!
