Torfaen Voluntary Alliance (TVA) is the County Voluntary Council for Torfaen. We are a Membership Organisation open to all voluntary and community organisations and social enterprises in Torfaen and the surrounding area. Membership is free.
We are an independent organisation and registered charity,but we work closely with other CVCs and Welsh Government through the national Third Sector Support Wales network to advocate for the sector.We also work closely with our statutorypartners in Gwent to deliver the “Fairer Gwent” objectives.
TVA are governed by a highly skilled, dedicated, professional Board who ensure that the executive team are effectively managed, scrutinised, and governed to the highest standard with robust policies and procedures in place.
Overall, we aim to supportthe community and voluntary sectorto grow whilst helping our member organisations to achieve their unique objectives. We do this by empowering, enabling, and brokering relationships between our members, volunteers, companies, and government.

Our diverse group of professionals bring a wealth of experience, skills, and knowledge, all aimed at supporting our local community and voluntary organisations, fostering community engagement, and promoting volunteering.
Each member of our team plays a vital role in delivering our core services, including funding support, governance advice, community engagement and volunteering. Together, we work collaboratively to empower local groups, enhance their capabilities, and ensure their voices are heard.
