TVA aims to provide as much support as possible to groups and organisations in finding funding.

Alongside coming in and talking to us about funding, you can also see what’s available on Funding Wales.

You can search hundreds of grant and loan finance opportunities from local, national and international sources.

From small grants to large capital projects we can help you find the funding you need.

We’re here to help you find the best and most suitable grant available in Torfaen.

Looking for funding for your project or organisation? You are in the right place!

We realise that third sector organisations In Torfaen are facing challenging times so we want to help you maximise your chances of success.

We know most voluntary and community groups are heavily dependent on grant funding to keep their services running or to develop new projects. Applying for funding can be complicated, confusing, and difficult to understand but we can help you through it! We share our insight, knowledge and experience as bid writers, grant assessors and panel members so that you have the best chance of success.

We also work closely with funders to make sure we have up-to-date information on their programmes and funding processes, and they sometimes ask us to provide information on local applicants.

Throughout the year we host funding sessions that offer one-to-one advice with funders such as the Big Lottery Fund, Heritage Lottery Fund and Tudor Foundation – keep an eye out for details of our future funding surgeries.

If you decide to develop a project or make an application, as a member of TVA we can help you:

  • think about ways to engage your community and develop your ideas.
  • act as a critical friend, we can proofread your application and give you tips to strengthen it;

remember that grants are only one way to raise funds, and there are other methods to explore.

Members of TVA receive regular funding e-briefing and notices of the latest funding opportunities into the inbox.  The bulletins also provide hints and tips to help your group get a head start with all aspects of funding including bid writing, fundraising techniques, trading opportunities and tendering.
