Regional Director - Active Gwent

Purpose: Lead and shape the future of sport and physical activity across the Gwent region

Focus: Building a strong, innovative partnership that promotes lifelong participation and improves health and wellbeing

Key responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership across five local authorities and key partners (including Sport Wales)
• Drive new, collaborative ways of working
• Manage complex and varied challenges in a developing regional partnership

Ideal candidate: Inspirational, strategic leader passionate about community sport and inclusion

Salary: £60,000–£70,000 + pension

Working style: Full-time, flexible hours, remote with regular regional engagement and occasional out-of-hours commitments

Hours: Full-time flexible working hours within core periods.  There is an expectation that the Regional Director  might need to attend events/meetings outside of core periods.

Location: Remote, flexible with an expectation to regularly  engage with partners across the region.
