TVA works with individuals, voluntary organisations, community groups and public sector organisations to promote voluntary work and to support individuals to find volunteer placements that suit their needs.
Volunteering in Torfaen is flourishing, but we can always do more to tackle the barriers that deter people from volunteering. People are now working longer hours over more years, and so we need to ensure that we are offering the right volunteering for local people in the modern world to ensure that volunteering is meaningful for the volunteer whilst also being sustainable for the host organisation.

- Keyholder - caretaker staff but will need support when on leave.
- Weekly and monthly tbc checks to be prepped and completed eg water flushing / fire testing.
- Organising repairs - all contacts already in place.
- All licencing are upto date and uploaded to ramis.

Volunteers’ Week takes place every year in 1st - 7th June, and it’s a chance to celebrate the incredible contribution volunteers make across Torfaen.
During Volunteers’ Week, we join forces with our members to recognise and thank volunteers and volunteer-led organisations across the borough. We visit local groups and individuals to celebrate their hard work, dedication, and the real difference they make in our communities.
