Caring Canines meet SI Cwmbran

S.I. Cwmbran recently held an excellent speaker meeting with Caring Canines.

Juliet and Pam gave an inspiring talk about the setting up of Caring Canines, only two years ago, and the work that is done.

Hearing about the impact the dogs have had on all age groups from nursery age right through to the elderly in care homes.

They offer:

  • Well-being sessions in schools
  • Care Homes
  • Assisted Living Centres
  • 1-1 sessions with children and adults

They’re hoping to expand to work in the work environment.

All handlers have DBS checks / PLI / Certificates in AAT / Animals are assessed by an Animal Behaviorist. Caring Canines currently offer their services in Torfaen / Newport / Caerphilly and areas within West Wales.

The handlers work on a self-employed basis but are coordinated through Caring Canines Cymru.

You can find further information about them on social media or email juliet@caringcaninescymru.com.

All members thoroughly enjoyed the talk and all agreed that it proved that dogs truly can be a best friend.
