Post: Communities Choice Scheme Coordinator x 2
Salary: £32,076 pro rata (fixed term 30th September 2025)
Hours: 34 hours per week
Location: Base Portland Buildings, Pontypool, and Outreach
We are seeking two dynamic and motivated individuals to fill the role of Communities Choice Coordinator, leading the Torfaen Participatory Budget Scheme. This role will be instrumental in fostering community engagement and empowering residents to play an active role in allocating local funds through participatory budgeting, all while enhancing their numeracy skills. This position demands strong organisational abilities, exceptional communication skills, and a deep commitment to community development.
The position is funded by the Multiply Funded program and is dedicated to improving numeracy skills among residents aged 19 years and above, both in professional contexts and daily life. It will additionally contribute to the Council’s Community Operating Model by forging strong partnerships with our Community and Voluntary Sector Members, Torfaen CBC, Town and Community Councils and Integrated Wellbeing Networks.

difference. Trustees are unpaid directors, who work together to oversee the
strategy, direction and aims of the organisation.

seeking someone with some HR, finance, or legal experience.
