What encouraged you to sponsor the Torfaen Community and Volunteer Awards?

Having worked on previous projects with Torfaen Volunteer Alliance we know the importance of community initiatives and the positive influence they can have. We believe in contributing to our local community and building positive and beneficial relationships with the people and organisations that form it.

Why you’re sponsoring Young Vounteer?

We are sponsoring the Young Volunteer category at this year’s awards. As a college we think its important to recognise and support the efforts and commitment of young individuals who are engaged in community service and encourage and empower them to continue making a difference.

Why are awards like TCVA important?

In order to keep both the local community and local business thriving, it’s vitally important to recognise the incredible efforts of the members of the community who make this happen. These awards act as a huge inspiration for others and show the impact that you can have on your local area, even when acting as an individual.

Why is it important to showcase Torfaen in this way?

As the largest Further Education college in Wales we believe in celebrating the achievements and efforts of those in our community. We want our students to see and be inspired by achievements by those around them to make sure that we’re helping to develop the next generation of socially responsible individuals.
