About able

Able is a media-based social enterprise empowering people through creativity. Able offers high quality person centred opportunities for people with learning disabilities and autism. They facilitate several creative and media activities to meet the varied requirements of our participants. We help empower every individual and help give them a voice within the community.

About Coleg Gwent

As one of Wales' top performing colleges, Coleg Gwent is an inclusive and diverse college with five campuses in Usk, Ebbw Vale, Crosskeys, Newport and Cwmbran. Offering full-time, part-time, higher-education, e-learning and apprenticeship qualifications, the courses cater for all levels. Having worked with TVA on previous projects, we know the importance of community initiatives and the positive influence they can have. We believe in contributing to our local community and building positive and beneficial relationships with the people and organisations that form it.

About Pontypool Community Council

Pontypool Community Council is the community council for the local area. Residents of Pontypool elect councilors to represent their views and to make decisions on behalf of all the local people to improve well-being in the area. PCC provides events e.g. Party in the Park, Christmas Cavalcade, School Eistedfodd etc. PCC provides services such as bins ,benches, notice boards and play equipment as well as paying for CCTV and public toilets. PCC gives grants to and sponsors local sports, clubs and organisations such as TVA.

About Connect Torfaen

Connect Torfaen is a bespoke social networking platform dedicated to volunteers and community groups in Torfaen. It is a space to help residents find opportunities to support their local community and a place for groups and organisations to find volunteers to support their work regularly or on a ad-hoc basis.

About Aneurin Bevan University Health Board

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is responsible for delivering and securing NHS healthcare services for more than 639,000 people living in the areas of Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen. Our services range from those delivered to you in your own home, in community settings close to where you live and in our community and general hospitals. Aneurin Bevan University Health Board also works with partner organisations and local people, with the aim of improving the health and wellbeing of the people we serve.

About Torfaen Voluntary Alliance

Torfaen Voluntary Alliance supports the third sector in Torfaen by assisting organisations to secure funding, providing advice on charity law regulations and constitutions, training for third sector groups and promoting volunteering. TVA is the umbrella organisation for the Third Sector in Torfaen. They provide and promote an accessible range of support services to enhance the development and effectiveness of the third sector.
